SEMAS Mental Arithmetic
The SEMAS Mental Arithmetic Program is a globally recognized brain development course based on the Japanese abacus (Soroban) method. This structured program enhances children's cognitive abilities, including focus, memory, visualization, and mental calculation skills. While learning to compute quickly and accurately, students also strengthen both the left and right hemispheres of the brain—boosting creativity, concentration, logical thinking, and overall academic performance.
Designed for learners as young as 4 years old, the program uses engaging, child-friendly techniques to make learning math fun and effective. As the Philippine Master Franchise of SEMAS, Invictus Academy ensures that each student receives world-class training aligned with the latest international standards. Global Partnership Programs
Olympiads – World Numeracy Championships (WNC)
Olympiads-WNC is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to promoting mathematics through the organization of national and international numeracy competitions. Its core mission is to inspire and nurture a love for mathematics among young learners by providing them with meaningful challenges and platforms to demonstrate their skills.
In the Philippines, Olympiads-WNC works in collaboration with Invictus Academy and SEMAS-Philippines to conduct district, regional, and national championships. These partners provide academic and administrative support to participating schools, ensuring the effective delivery of the program.
The importance of numeracy cannot be overstated—numbers are fundamental in all aspects of life, from understanding data and measuring outcomes to analyzing trends and solving real-world problems. Early exposure to numeracy helps students build confidence, develop logical reasoning, and cultivate analytical thinking—skills that are essential in fields such as engineering, accountancy, IT, science, and beyond.
Through engaging competitions and structured challenges, Olympiads-WNC helps students strengthen their foundational arithmetic skills, eventually leading them to tackle more advanced mathematical concepts with ease. The initiative aims not only to identify top-performing students but also to empower average learners to achieve excellence and reach their highest academic potential.
Participation is open exclusively to students enrolled in schools across the Philippines. Learners aged 6 to 14 and above, who have a basic understanding of arithmetic operations—addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division—are encouraged to take part and compete in this prestigious numeracy championship.
